EFAMA Invites You to a Public Webinar on 23 September 2025: UCITS – A Global Success Story: Trends, Challenges & Opportunities in the International Distribution of UCITS

UCITS (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) are undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (i.e., securities traded on regulated markets). They are open-ended funds with public offerings and strict requirements regarding the composition, quality, liquidity, and structure of assets. UCITS are regulated by the corresponding Directive (Directive 2009/65/EC of 13 July 2009, as amended) and other related EU legislative acts. They are the closest equivalent to the existing Ukrainian open-ended CIUs (collective investment undertakings). Their establishment and operation in Ukraine will also be provided for in the new Law, which transposes EU legal requirements into Ukrainian legislation in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and Ukraine’s obligations as a candidate for EU membership.
