The third session of the CEE Workshop for associations of fund & asset management companies in Central and Eastern Europe "Challenges of the collective investment business in CEE" will be held in Kyiv on October 27-29, 2011
This year the meeting, being organized by the Ukrainian Association of Investment Business, will be dedicated to the issues of new EU legislation, its implementation in the Member States, forseeable problems of supranational and national legislation and the consequences for particular countries and the CEE region as a whole.
Among the topics to be discussed also will be the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation on collective investment and asset management to the European legal framework as well as the economic reforms and their impact on the industry, issues and experience of approaches to fund categorization, raising local financial culture and the cooperation development within the CEE initiative.
The event will be attended by representatives of national professional associations of fund & asset management companies and regulators of securities markets of Central and Eastern Europe, including Austria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and the European Association for fund management and asset (EFAMA). As regadrs Ukraine, the Chairman of the Securities and Stock Market State Commission (SSMSC), Dmitry Tevelyev and other Comission's officials are invited to participate in the meeting. UAIB will be represented by the Chairman of the Board, Dmytro Leonov, the members of the Board - Oleg Kolesnyk, Grygoriy Ovcharenko and Svetlana Konstantynova, the Director General, Andriy Rybalchenko, and other Directorate officials.
